Have you ever wondered what might happen to Isabela if you hand her over to the Arishok at the end of Act II in Dragon Age 2? ~Spader7 did, and drew this: [link]

...to which I immediately said: "Yep. I'm going to make this." So meet Qunaribela. After all, Varric says he heard Isabela got away with the Tome—maybe she did, maybe she didn't. I'm just playing in the realm of possibility.

IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE I WOULD NEVER MAKE THIS CHOICE IN-GAME

She has that; "You... and I... have unfinished business, Hawke..." type of look... creepy, in a very good way, it's like she's come back for Hawke XD XD

That was definitely my approach to posing for this costume, so I'm glad you picked up on it! You can't really see it in this image, but I included the red romanced arm band for a reason—I wanted to heighten the sense of betrayal in this case, so that she'd have a reason to feel both loyal to the Qun and bitter about the circumstances. I had fun building this thing

It's hard to say! I think Isabela can be very, very loyal to a cause or person that she believes in, so if they broke her and made her submit to the Qun ... she's probably be pretty badass. But, you know. If they broke her.

She is rather stubborn! To convince someone so in love with freedom to give that up, or respect a culture that is so opposite of her beliefs—tall order.

Actually if you give Isabella to the Arishok, she manages to run away... with the Tome.
And, remember the part where the Arishok confesses that if he fails to return the Tome of Koslun, he will be killed for his failure?
Yeah well.... chances are, he either is killed for his failure or is given another chance to go after Isabella... again.
So no matter what you do, poor Arishok never gets to return home just as he wishes.

I'm going to copy-paste a response I made to a similar comment below:

"Not necessarily true. Varric says that he HEARS that Isabela gets away two days later with the Tome by jumping into the sea, but then acknowledges that he doesn't know for sure. So maybe she did get away, or maybe she was forced into servitude of the Qun, as Fenris predicted might have happened if Hawke had handed her over. (You only hear this if Hawke doesn't)

Either way, the art and the costume just play in the realm of possibility, nothing more. Call it AU if you want; I call it something that may very well have happened to her. Hard to say until DA3 comes out!"
